Hmmm. My car has been sitting up for a year due to the comp 1 fuse repeatedly blowing. If you want we can compare notes.

Just recently started having the same issue.

The egi comp 2 blows while driving and everything shuts off. The car won't even attempt to crank and the security light is flashing rapidly indicating it's not the correct key.

Replacing the fuse solves the problem but it'll just blow again in the next few miles.

Anyone else experience this? The only thing I could think of is a short in the circuit somewhere, but it goes to the maf, fan relay, fuel pump speed relay, and the secondary air pump relay

No idea where to even start except running continuity tests between all these systems which would take forever.

Yes . Had same thing years ago . Eventually tracked it down to the cat sensor wires shorting on the aftermarket midpipe.

Actually I may of solved the issue - The VFAD sensor that's normally used with the stock airbox was hanging loose next to a pulley getting chewed up by a belt.

I have a AEM CAI so it was just hanging loose in my engine bay. It's ran off the MAF wiring harness so I'm assuming it goes to the same fuse, but I don't have the MAF's wiring diagram to see if it's spliced off or not.

After taping the half destroyed sensor with one exposed wire up on the MAF harness it can no longer dangle and mess stuff up. It also explains why the problem was intermitant, as it has only died sub 4k RPM/idle, where the VFAD would be closed off; in addition to it just dangling around down there shorting on who knows what.

Have put 100 miles on it since I found the stupid wire, and it hasn't blown again. Before I found it, it blow literally 4 times in 5 miles, once blowing right on startup after dieing and replacing it.

Here's the wire if anyone else is curious. If it blows again I'll probably check down on the cat/o2 sensors and such.
