Question Engine Low Compression Issue. Help.

Hi everyone,
I have 2 problems.

1) Can't start after engine is hot.
2) Engine dies when switching from Neutral to Drive ( in a hot engine, while geting stuck in traffic )

My mechanic says its Engine Low Compression Issue.
My question is, what can i do to fix it?
My car is a second hand and has no warranties anymore
Changing engine is not an option as its very expensive here in Malaysia.

Pls help.

from what you're describing, it does sound like low compression. Which is a nice way of saying your engine is broken. It needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Until then, you will have low power, bad gas mileage, and continued problems starting.

I'm sure there are rotary engine mechanics there who can either rebuild your engine, or sell you a new/remanufactured engine. Or maybe you can get one imported from some of the many rotary people in australia- again i'm sure it's expensive but probably cheaper than from the mazda dealer there. I'm sure it won't be cheap, but that's the only way to fix it.

I've seen all sorts of videos and stuff from malaysian rx8 groups, it seems like there is a decent sized rotary community over there, I'm sure there are shops you can bring it to, people to talk to, who might be able to rebuild yours.

Have you tried seafoaming it? This could help a little....
You might even have a plugged cat. Does it glow red after a hard drive at night?

clogged pipe would affect the startup at both hot and cold.
