Newbie wants an RX-8

Hey everyone! I'm new to this board and I just want to say hi. I don't have an RX-8 yet but I'm planning on buying one in the spring. In fact, I was out kicking tires on the weekend and I think I may have found the RX-8 I want to buy. I know someone has asked this question before, but what did everyone pay for their RX-8 GT??

I found a brand new RX-8 GT with moonroof with the following accessories: Rock Guard, Front and Rear Spoilers, Front Mud Guards, Side Deflectors, and Rear Underdeflectors for $46,250. (including GST) --- is this a good deal??

Also, has anyone (in Canada) installed the Mazda Speed bodykit on their 8 yet?? If so, who and where??

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Cool

If you can wait a bit longer you can get the real Mazdaspeed RX-8. I think it'll be coming either late this year or early next year.

Has everything you ask....

If you want a better price check previous postings at

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=19658

Using the internet you might get a better price from a local dealer.

That sounds good. Are you also getting the moonroof with your 8 as well as the front spoiler (this is what the dealership is calling it --- that portion which covers the black lip of the car)?? I'm still negotiating with my dealer and it looks like he will also include window tinting plus all of the stuff I mentioned in my original post for $46,000 including the GST. Of course we don't get charged PST here in Alberta, so that'll be my final cost.

What are you paying for insurance?? I was quoted $670/yr, so I think it's great.

Congrats on your new purchase.

Thumbs up

Woo-hoo! I just got a call from the sales manager tonight and he's confirmed that he's taking my counter offer of $46,000 (including GST) for a fully loaded Lightning Yellow RX-8 GT (incl moonroof + a lot of goodies including window tinting, spoilers, mud guards, side deflectors, rear underdeflectors, etc., etc.). The car is sitting in his showroom right now but I won't take delivery until April to make sure that the white stuff, salt, and rocks are gone! I can't wait.

This site is great!

Welcome to the exclusive Calgary RX-8 Owners Group! :D

If you're really worried about rocks etc., then you need to schedule an appointment for the day you take delivery at Shadow Tint to have the 3M Scotchcal Clear Bra installed (XPEL template). They do a fantastic job, and the clear bra is nearly invisible and keeps any stone chips from appearing on the nose of the car. They did my clear bra and tint on my Audi 2 years ago, and on my RX-8 last summer.

Gordon

Thanks!

Actually, I've included the 3M Guard as part of the deal, so they will be putting it on the car. Thanks for the lead, though.

How many Calgarians are members of this board?? Have you ever gotten together to compare notes, cruise, etc?

Well, two of us have, but we're both members of the Miata Club as well, so we hang out with them!

I think there's somewhere around 5 Calgary owners on the forum here, maybe 6 including you! It would be great to arrange a get-together, probably closer to spring though!

Regards,
Gordon
