car chokes after consecutive turns

here's a quick background of the car. i have the first gen, JDM, converted to LHD, 6 speed manual. it has a full, custom exhaust all the way to the headers. it's been cat-deleted. it has the AEM CAI, RB headers and the AP pulley. those are all the performance mods. my coils are have been around for 5 thousand km, spark plugs are still stock. car itself has around 23 thousand km on it.

so here's my experience. whenever my car's gas gauge reaches the 1/4 mark, it chokes in high RPMs. by choke, i mean the rpm falls, and then it goes back up after i step on the gas. simply put, it hesitates. as the gas gauge points further down, it chokes more often, and on lower rpms. i have come to the conclusion that i simply lack gas.

however, i went to the track yesterday. at full tank, everything was great. when the gas gauge went down to 3/4, however, the car would choke right after consecutive turns. i knew this because it would do this on specific turns upon exiting. again, it got worse at half a tank. i'm guessing it has something to do with the gas tank itself. also, no check engine light or whatever on dash came up.

sorry for the very long read. just wanted to be as specific as possible. thanks for any help!

Bet it was after a left turn. Fuel pump is bad. Either replace with a OEM pump or check into a BHR fuel pump upgrade.

My 8 is at the shop right now getting a Walbro fuel pump installed, same symptoms as you.
