To the Vets that have served we say thankyou!
Thanks!! My boss bought me and vet buddy (grungepup) lunch today at a really nice restaurant, it was a nice gesture.
This is my old home
I'm on deck, we were there to do the 50th reenactment of D Day.
U.S.S. Barry (DDG-52) I was a month too late to be a plank owner but I was aboard her since pre com in Pascagoula, MS. I did two med cruises, a trip to Haiti, Red Crown, and went to 20 different ports or so. Fun times.

Wow dude, that is amazing!! The Arleigh Burke was beat to hell to work out all the kinks and the Barry was the show ship at first
I was an OS, and you? We were basically a floating PR campaign for the first two years. It's crazy how many Arleigh Burke class destroyers there are now. Good luck man, brings back some great memories.
I was in for four, got my Navy College Fund Money, and got out. My father is a retired Marine Sgt. Major so I knew i wasn't going to be a lifer, I like seeing my kids often

I do miss it and did contemplate going back in as an officer a few years back but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
