I have been lurking for a while, and this is my first post.

I purchased a Silver RX-8 GT Auto on December 30th and have been waiting anxiously since. I had checked all the dealers and none of them were able to get the car immediately, so I decided to order and wait.

Seems things are coming together now. The dealer just received a shipment of XBOXes last week, and picked mine up. A nice little bonus, as I was going to buy the car anyway.

I just rec'd a call indicating my RX-8 is at sea and that it should be at the dealer in 3 to 5 weeks. Just wondering, for those who ordered their cars, how long did it take once your car was 'as sea' ?

This won't directly answer your question, but once the car is in port (Vancouver) it takes 2-4weeks by rail.

 

does anyone knows witch rail company Mazda is using , CP or CN!!!!!from Vancouver to Montreal

When the first shipment came, the cars to Atlantic Canada were shipped by CN and could be tracked. If I remember correctly, the Quebec and Ontario cars weren't showing up though.

 

I got a call from my salesman last week and he indicated there was a small delay as a result of the train strike ... so I think it must be CN they are using (I think it was CN that was on strike ?).

Anyways, they have until March 10/04 to deliver my car (I had a 10 week clause on the deal), so I hope to be receiving my car very soon now.

BTW, I was thinking about ordering the strakes .. anyone here have these installed in Toronto ? If so pls advise where and how much this cost for the installation.
