I recently bought the axxess unit from a member here, upon install and plugging in the iphone, theres huge static everywhere. rather the volume is low or high? does it not work with the 2G iphone? or is there something wrong? thanks

 

I don't have the unit so I'm just relaying this information... but I have seen a few posts around here saying that the static may be caused by the iphone trying to connect to the cell networks. Anyway, what happens if you try setting the iphone to airplane mode and then playing music?

Also, if that doesn't work I would try to borrow a regular iPod from a friend and see if that causes static, at least then you would know whether it was the iPhone or the unit.
