Car doesn't feel right at all after getting my turbo installed..help!

Alright so I sent my car to get my greddy turbo kit installed and I just got it back. Here is a list of the parts installed on my car.

-Greddy Turbo Kit
-Interceptor X
-Mazsport Cold Air Intake
-Greddy Oil Pan
-BHR Ignition Kit
-Oil Catch Can
-Greddy SP2 Exhaust with midpipe
-Greddy Profec E-01 Electronic Boost Controller

My car has 82,000 miles on it (I know, it's alot ). I do oil changes every 3000 miles and always redline it at least once a day. I just sea foamed it twice in the last month.

The car does not feel right at all. It barely idles and the rpm's jump all over the place. I re grounded everything in the engine bay. The car doesn't feel fast at all, it feels pretty much stock until 7000rpms and then it throws your head back, I thought on the Greddy kit the boost usually drops off around that rpm

Could it be the tune the guy put on the car? He said he street tuned it but it doesn't feel like the boosted 8 I drove.

I feel like I just threw all my money out of the window.

Also one more thing. Last night my car was cranking for a good 2 minutes and just did not want to start. I turned my HID's off and it started right up. I'm thinking this is some sort of electrical issue? That's why I re grounded everything in the engine bay.

My engine light will also start to blink at me sometimes. I'm guessing thats a misfire. Could the dwell settings be wrong for the BHR kit? I was told my Charles that the dwell settings should be set between 4.5 and 4.8. I told my tuner but that doesn't mean that he did it..

and one last thing. Last night when i finally got my car started the ABS and Traction Control light illuminated and stayed on even after power cycling the car like 4 times. Then when I started it this morning they are gone.

Int-X drama....

Need to make a lot of changes to the tune most likely.... matrix mode, cold start enrichment etc. DO you have a wideband? If so what are the AFR'S at cold idle, fully warmed up and cruising around?

Yeah I should of went with the Access Port. The only reason I went with the Int-x is because I wanted to hook the two step up. But my tuner told me after then fact that he couldn't hook it up because he needs a special module. That was after he said it was no problem hooking it up but thats besides the point.

I do not have a AFR gauge, yet. He said when he was tuning the car my AFR's were in the 11's.

I need to find someone else in my area that can PROPERLY tune this car. I wish I lived in Cali with Charles and Jeff!

Get the AP, tune with Jeff remotely (or learn to do it yourself). This covers your wideband too since it is in the AP.

Anything else is a big fat waste of money....

I'm sure that is the best bet. This whole turbo project drained my bank account. I was hoping not to have to spend more money on this.

Anybody want to buy an Int-x? haha

Sorry dude.... but you need a wideband, it is required for turboed cars.... and they run 200-400 bucks. The AP is 495 and you can tune with it...... easy decision IMO.

If you are going to go with int-x i would go to kdr rotary............Dave knows what hes doing he has moved into a new shop now and is a little busy but he is your best bet he has several 8's running on int-x........ Hes an honest guy and will do the right thing a dyno tune is 175 i think.

Is he in the area? I live in South Jersey but wouldn't be opposed to traveling.\

Edit: I looked him up. He seems like a legit shop and def will give him a call. I was charged 300 for a street tune that does not work.

lol. I might be taking a visit to your website and purchase an AP with your tuning. Just seems like the best way.

^ How is your MAF and air intake routed i think this plays a role otherwise you will have to get that straightened out too which is more money ultimately cobb wins over int-x however with a capable tuner int-x really isnt that bad an ems it has its shortcomings but i dont think its a fail.

It is possible to get it running ok with the X but you will end up spending even more money and it still will not be that good . Get the AP and at least then you know that tuning is taken out of the equation as a problem . You will almost certainly find other issues as well however .... sorry , seen it on here too many times .

It's the Mazsport Cold Air intake so I guess that's mounted the way its supposed to be. and the MAF is before the BOV. To be honest I don't know how to explain it. I could take a picture if it will help.

Should I try cleaning the MAF? I thought since the intx is maped based that the maf doesn't matter? maybe im just talking out of my *** lol

Yea the interceptor-x doesn't need the maf. But if you go for the cobb accessport you will need to have a maf that works properly with it. Otherwise you will have to spend even more money.

What is the ID of the pipe at the maf? Pics would be helpful.

Fwiw, Dave's in the process of getting Cobb approved too. Maybe we should get a big dyno day setup and fly Jeff in to "show him the ropes"

Yeah dave told me the news as well which will be awesome. If you go with cobb now you will have to wait for it to ship then do your logs to get things up and running it will take awhile but ultimately you will be satisfied. You said you wanted to cut your losses and i know you have been without car for awhile which is why int-x tuned via dave was my suggestion but seems your MAF is setup correctly soooo the choice is yours. I would take it back to Jim and say uhhh dude wtf lol.

Don't worry I've been calling Jim lol. This isn't acceptable.

I would really like Dave to tune my car with the Int-X for now. When I get a bigger turbo I'll change to the AP. I'm all out of money for now haha

What's weird is the traction control light and the ABS light only come on at night when its cold and I turn my HID's on....

I just talked to Dave, really nice honest guy. They are moving the shop right now so I should be on the Dyno sometime next week for a new tune.

He says that since my Traction Control and ABS light are coming on its more than likely a voltage issue. I'm going to check the volts coming from my alternator to see if thats the problem.

Thanks for pointing me towards his shop.

^ Doest seem right but dave knows what hes talking about he will be able to help you once hes all up and running. He will be able to physically check out your car and set you straight. Sounds like depending on whatever else you had done some wires were crossed if it only happens when you turn on the HID's sounds like its acting as a switch...but i dont know just trying to give some insight.

Well he's saying its a voltage issue because if I turn my HID's on the car starts to hesitate more and same while turning the heat or a/c on.

I'll check my voltages coming from the alternator and that could be the problem. But either way its going there next week to get professionally dyno tuned.
