FI 4 port Dyno Results

I am curious as to the results of other 4 port AT car owners on the dyno. I just did my first real dyno and received what I believe to be great results. If any of the other FId 4 port autos would not mind sharing their dyno results with me I would be grateful.

My FId 4port 8 has always performed to my satisfaction but my friends have wondered where I really am in the HP game. I know that all the MT FI guys will scoff at my results but they are all 6ports and have a distinct advantage. I hope that my results will encourage other 4port AT 8s.

Oh yea, I posted 256hp - Jeff Abrams (Mazda Maniac) did the tune, Ray (Charles R. Hill) did the mechanical, Jedi54 (Jorge) set up the event and I had about 25 witnesses all watching the results and the whole dyno session was on live stream.

Thanks to Jedi54 for posting these graphs for me

Phil, congrats man. I would love to hear other 4port owners echo your results... if not better!

*edit*
Also, I doubt MT people would scoff at you. You're using Pettit's SC right? Reading through the sticky FI thread, I believe that most people running Pettit's were getting like 280rwhp max.

I organized the dyno event and have all the dyno figures, Phil's car is a BEAST!
sounded wicked on the dyno.

I'll post up the figures tonight after I download the latest dynojet software.
Congrats Phil, I believe you're King of the Hill of the AT's.

Thumbs up

I scoff at you! lol. I'm kidding. Congrats on the dyno, I think this is better than expected. You have more RWHP than the NA 6 port MT's here in Vegas so it's nothing to scoff at...until I go FI muahahaha...

...that might be awhile.

Congrats! That is a great number for a 4-port! Heck, even for a 6-port that's a good number. When I had my NA dyno done, I dynoed at 140 whp on a mustang dyno. If I understand correctly, mustangs read about 10% lower than dynojets. So that would mean NA my dynojet number would be low to mid 150s. That was basically with Mazdaspeed exhaust, RP supercat, and mazmart water pump as powertrain mods (plus 4.77 gear). So I'd say you've gained roughly 100 whp with your setup! That is a huge increase, especially percentage wise.

I don't have any dynos of mine yet - still finishing up some stuff. Mine won't be anywhere near yours, though. I'm only running about 4.5 psi. What psi and cfm were you at for the dyno?

I was running 9psi boost - have to wait for the graph to know cfm. A lot of work went into and on my engine but I think the numbers justify it.

Phil's 8 was a beast on the dyno! I have not yet seen an AT dyno that high. Jeff and Ray really worked their magic.

Yup, if you assume your base numbers were somewhere near to mine, you gained quite a bit. Looks like about a 65% whp increase to me.

It's not really the 4 port engine that is hindering the higher HP results, correct?

I always thought it had to do with the automatic transmission. You can make a **** ton of power with a 4 port.

Someone needs to try a 4 port renny with a 6 speed MT with a bridgeport and a big turbo.....

Anyways...nice HP number Phil. What was the torque?

As I have been saying the AT is not the problem, it's getting the air and the fuel in the four port. I think I am proving that even the 4 port can make power......... The graphs will be out latter this evening.

phil if you get the new pulley (12 or 13 psi ??) you will need bigger injectors but you will be in the 300 whp club with a 4port!!! dayum!!

btw i looked at your garage and i saw BHR Supercharger pulleys COMING SOON!!?!?? WTF?!!

oh yeh, and get your hands on the carbon fiber drive shaft. I believe that will put you at exactly 260whp. im not sure how much the lighter driveshaft makes a difference

It have the largest one Pettit offers, we (Ray and I) installed it and I got a steady 9psi. The BHR pulley is some time off I think. I think you are correct thought about a little more air (working on it)-----already installed the new injectors mucho bigger
Jeff cut me off at 8grand in third gear pull but tells me that there was a lot more there. He wanted to do a 4th gear pull but there were a lot of people waiting their turn. Some day soon we will go for it. Even Jeff was happy.

Oh man, you've just brought up a topic I was wondering like mad about.

How difficult is it to get a CF drive shaft from the MT into the AT? I searched and searched and there are like no threads about it!

@Phil,
Wouldn't the FI be the solution to the air? So increasing your injectors and tuning would just be the second step to it right? I'm sure I'm missing something here, can you explain more?

Phil: Steve says you're welcome back any time.
Just get the mad scientist to come out to Cali and we'll take care of you. I see 275+ in your near future.

the a/t drive shaft (aluminum) and the m/t are the same exact size. same dimensions and everything. I will fit right in there perfectly with no modifications.

Come down to Phoenix in November Phil. We'll put you on the Dynapak Dyno at UMS. I'm going to find the HP I'm missing since Jedi broke the dyno that day with his 205 RWHP NA 6 port.

So it's just getting the shaft then? And the AT shaft is steel, I'm pretty sure.
