sounded wicked on the dyno.

I'll post up the figures tonight after I download the latest dynojet software.
Congrats Phil, I believe you're King of the Hill of the AT's.

How difficult is it to get a CF drive shaft from the MT into the AT? I searched and searched and there are like no threads about it!

@Phil,
Wouldn't the FI be the solution to the air? So increasing your injectors and tuning would just be the second step to it right? I'm sure I'm missing something here, can you explain more?

The AT shaft is metal (steel) and the MT shaft is carbon fiber. I'm not really sure that the few pounds that I would loose would make that much difference. Also the CF shaft is subject to being shattered easily. Unless it pencils out, I think I will stay with the metal shaft for the time being. Oh they are interchangeable.

JinDesu, you must have missed the fact that I am FI. The Pettit supercharger does qualify . There is no way a stock 4port can make 256hp.More air = more horsepower. See my garage for my list of mods.

No no, I know you are on the Pettit. See my first or second post in this thread, where I stated that MT Pettit owners usually post numbers of 280rwhp or so.

My question was where you stated that it was getting the air and fuel into a 4-port. I was confused because I know you are getting more air in because of the FI!

We are just forcing the air thru the existing intake manifold. We installed larger injectors in the fuel rail to get me the fuel I needed. I hope that answered your question. Nothing new but getting the right mixture is important

wow thanks for sharing with us phil! I've been thinking about going FI. I saved up just enough for the kit, but something always keeps me from purchasing it. How big of a difference do you feel? The more you can tell me, I think i'll just purchase it!

Well when you add 100 horses to a stocker you are bound to feel the difference. It runs so smooth that you think that this is the way the car should have come from Mazda. Not sure how the turbo feels but it must feel something like mine.

Again congrats Phil on a successful dyno pull! Great job to everyone who has been involved with Phil's car as I believe pulling 100+whp out of a 4 port automatic is a great thing to see happen. Jeff commented that the car was still producing power but was hitting the 125mph limiter in 3rd gear. A 4th gear pull could have been done but it's a lot of strain on the motor so I don't blame Phil for quitting while he was still ahead.

Looking at the power curve he was on track for 265whp easy.

Now go enjoy your car Phil!

I've heard........ That the 4 port should be capable of 275-305 whp from people who are not on the forums.

Phil, it's great to see that you are still trying to make more power. Nice

My goal is 300hp but I'm also realistic. I don't need to rebuild an engine to prove it can be done. I have a few refinements to get done and maybe I'll do another dyno to see if they helped.

Phil: you have till Jan / February to make these 'refinements' then it's back on Steve's dyno!
(hoping the SoCal crew didnt' see what I just hinted at or I'll get flooded with questions)

Those guys don't miss anything on the forum you will be inundated shortly. Oh yea some of those refinements will be done on Friday according to the post from Ray Keep me apprised as Nancy wants to come this time (she will be bored but what the hell) - din din and drinks for sure. We will of course need the mad scientist and the "have tools will travel" guy.

yeah, we'll once again need the old guy, the fat guy, the bald guy, and the stands-around-doing-nothing guy.
I'll leave up to you to determine which is which.

I'm also realistic, however IMO, I believe the renesis 4 port can produce atleast 295 whp if tuned right of course and or maybe another turbo kit could possibly be in the works for the 4 port........ I like to dream, sorry.
