Awesome! thanks for the quick reply! My other/last question is, is the amplifier for the Bose sound system built INTO the head unit? So if I decide to take out the head unit do I have to buy an amp for the front speakers?

The Bose amp is in the trunk. I believe the metra kit has an interface box to make it work with an aftermarket stereo, but someone who owns one could confirm for you.

Yeh, so my question is, is the amp in the trunk running all the speakers/tweeters in the car? or JUST the rear speakers?

And if I take out the head unit, can I just connect the wires into my NEW head unit by soldering the right wires together? or do I need something in between my NEW HU and the stock Bose amp?

The amp in the trunk runs all of the speakers. If you install an aftermarket HU with the Metra kit, the Metra kit comes with a harness for all of the HU's speaker outputs.
