Look forward to getting some more fun small cars over here. I am sure Fiat was dying to buy Chrysler so it could use the dealer network to get some of their cars over here.
I hope it has the Fiat name. I don't want a Chrysler. Yuck.

"Although the 500 family will wear the Fiat badge, reports say that the Italian car maker has no plans to sell any other Fiat-badged models in North America."
Looks like you might just be in luck!
Technically this car it's not a Fiat..it's an Abarth..Abarth it's a brand apart into Fiat Group , it's not selled in every Fiat Shop here in Italy..
BTW , you americans dont' loose a lot without Fiat brand

I have a lot of concerns about Alfa Romeo too.....

So where do I put my deposit? I grew up with the 500, 600 and 750 Abarths... This car will be a hit, especially around autocrossers... handling is awesome for being a FWD, it's nimble, light and quite powerful. I think the Abarth version has around 160+ HP.... I love it... Japanese and even german cars will never achieve this level of "cult" following... Indeed great news... Now please bring the Alfa Romeo as well....

Me too. As I get older and realize money is better spent elsewhere, the lure of small cars, cheap consumables, and something with big smile factor is winning out over the dreams of supercars. EU has some sweet little cars I'd love to try.
Gas is bound to go up again. It certainly isn't heading downward long term. I think people are going to be forced to have at least one gas miser in the garage next to the truck or CUV.
I use to have a Fiat 850, moved to Texas from Washington State, it would not have been able to handle the high temps here. If they are really bringing one to the states im game to pick one up.

I think the 2 something gas prices are going to go the way of the dodo when the global economy gets back on track. Look at what gas prices did when the oil market got a whiff that the economy might remotely be getting better.
Fiat 500, 600, 600 Abarth (was really a 750) but the most beautiful was the 850 coupe with a 1100 Abarth Engine, 2 double webers... awesome car...then the ,124 Abarth, 127, 128 Abarth (Rally version) and the 131 Fiat Abarth before I moved.
For some reason, I never really like the "X 1/9" it was too heavy for that engine...
If that car comes to the states, I am selling my MS3 and getting me the little "500"

Fiat Abarth Zagato.
Many years ago I followed one of these driving from Tampa to Sebring for the 12 hour race back in 70's. I was driving a Vauxhall VX490. It was a fun drive at night, hookin hard.
