AZ My new Turbo install project.

Here is a pic of the manifold in pieces, turbo flange, turbo blanket, and a turbo. I forgot which one this is. Its not for my application. I'm using a T4 60 trim which has the same size of compressor housing as the 3071r
This will be a custom topmount. Battery will have to be relocated into the trunk and the AST will be Aluminium.
Specs of the selected turbo:

flow: 50 lbs/min 640cfm
.60 Trim Compressor

TURBINE SPECS:
P-Trim Turbine
.96 A/R HOUSING

Builder: Turblown.net
Garrett T4.

Racing Beats cast stainless header flange.

Now you can see the TUBO !! no more hiding below.

Exhaust manifold in the works.

chaos ensuing above!

Possible location for the Turbo. Still deciding on the BEST location to allow correct airflow and minimize turbulence in the intake charge.

New pics 8/23/09 placement of External WG in relation ship to the manifold

better shot of the finished welds of the manifold

PIcs of LIM with VDI and APV cleaned and installed.

It's in the car! (yes it's not a direct color match)

This one shows the wires and rail nicely.

That is a Precision Billet Gt35R. Last time I checked Garrett didn't have the 1.06 T4 framed turbine housing available. We are probably going to go with the .82 T4 turbine housing . I am hoping with a 3.5" down-pipe and open dump waste-gate that the pre-turbine back pressure will be low with that small of a turbine side.. If not then we will just switch back to the original plan of a 1.0 P trim 57trim To4E...

AHHHHHHHHHH! I have been thread jacked !

j/k

Thanks for tth pics E.
As for expected/gestimated power levels, who knows. we will find out when we get there... Now I will say this. I did pick up 65 hp from the Greddy kit.
This custom setup blows the doors off the Greddy one in parts alone. Not withstanding the lbs of air that this build will supply at the same psi compared to the Greddy..

Thanks guys..

Nothing major planed yet for Transmission upgrades. Just better ATF.
If Easy_E1 can light up his tires in 1st and make massive clouds of smoke and His still shifts fine and runs smooth.
I don't plan on lighting the tires so I should be ok.

Someone here made 260whp with a 5speed 4 port motor . Hope you can beat that .

How much boost were you pushing with the Greddy for an extra 60hp ?

The AST is a Ron Davis can. not exactly sure of the part #. I'll update the first post when everything is complete. The batt Relocation is Turblowns own custom setup.
The current bat is a Yellow top Optima. So I'm not worried about any leakage.
I'd be damned if I get stains on the trunk carpet !

I hope so to. If not, well....... I'll buy a Smrtcar. NOT !
We saw 202hp @ 7 psi.( i think). The dyno is in my Greddy build thread

That RB header flange is pretty trick..
i'll see if I can get more upclose pics of the compressor wheel.
I can't any of the credit.. Turblown picked the parts. I just gave him a car to use them on.

i've been looking for an aluminum battery relocation kit. i don't want an ugly plastic one. do they offer them for sale? i checked their website but didn't see them on there.

Turblown, do you think i could get a quote for the battery relocation kit? i want to get it in an aluminum box. i haven't seen 09Factor's yet but i'm sure it looks good.

come to think of it, is it being moved to the trunk? thats the way i want mine. i guess i could just get one of the kits off summit racing or something but i'm not sure what size. i have the same yellow top battery.
