let's start off with.. yes im a noob at installing audio.

i bought a Xenarc X7000 indash touch screen with a metra kit...

as far as installing the radio and wirings, i just followed it as diagrammed.
besides it was pretty much color coded as well...

but when i hooked it up, there were no sounds.

it has power , it turns on on ACC. screen opens up, menu opens...
just that there's no sound

and also a constant message saying there's no video while car is running, although my car was completely still. engine wasn't even on.

the only thing i'm uncertain about is on the Axxess box was a Rear Left channel cable that i did "not" hook up.

also the ground for "AMP" i hooked on with the radio's Ground cable.

everything else was color coded and reviewed to make sure they were correct.

guys.. help?

 

do u have bose or not. if bose like it sounds like you do than you need 4 new speakers, a 4 ch amp, and alot of wrench time.

if you dont (even tho it sounds like you do) than splice the leads of say the left channel (do not have your radio or axxess box plugged in) and take a 9volt battery and touch the respective side to the colors on the let channel. if you hear a pop than let me know. if not there are may other things to be tested.

and fyi the message on your screen is cuz you didnt hook up parking brake and have it engaged. your suppose to have that wire hooked up to your emergency brake (probally a really long wire that came with the radio in the box)
