Rearview mirror (base) problem

Hello ~~

The question my seem trival to most of You but it's a kind of big problem for me.

I bought a RX-8 in the US but I took it to Euorpe cuz this is where I live.
Anyway... i needed to exchange my windshiled and when i got one it turned out that the base for the rearview mirror is too small.
I mean... I can put the mirror on it but it fells of from time to time cuz it's loose.

I ordered a new rearview mirror but it turned out that in europe they are smaller and poor. They don't turn blue in the dark automaticly and they don't have the keys to program the garadge door etc.

Now i call the Mazda Dealer and they told me that european versions didn't have such mirros.

So now i'm pretty fucked up... this new euro mirror is damn ugly and i have a wire going from the roof leading to no where.

So I would like to ask, does any1 know where can i buy the base for the automatic rearview mirror in the US ?
My firend would buy it for me and send it to me, but since i'm not form the US i'm not familiaur of where to look.
I've checked the RX8Strakes and MazdaPars.com but nothing there.

Can any1 help me with some other links or store names ?
I would appriciate it a lot

Thnx and best regards

Seems like a strange thing to purposely make different.

Best thing is that the manual seys that the part numbers for the US one and the Euro one are the same and they look the same but that are totaly different.

More of that it's an US manual

Hey Tamas I must say i'm a bit amused and a bit in shame.
It's so simple :O Why didn't I figured it out yet myself ?:O
Maby cuz i didn't look at it in the way U did.

Anyway, thnx a lot ! It worked
I mean it's still a bit loose and looks a bit poor cuz U can see that it doesn't fit but... the mirror doesn't fell off as it used to and it's wayyyyyyyyy more stable. It doesn't move to the back and front. Still moves a bit sideways but it's not a problem.

I must say I've searched the forum for such topics but somehow i've orverlooked Yours.
Maby I was using the worng key words ;/

Anyway, thnx agian m8, U've saved me a lot of patiance and some money
