Talking EWWW, Takata Green + WhiteWater Pearl!

Well, somehow a couple pictures hit the web and found their way to rx8club so I might as well post a proper intro. This car is mine, not Alex's. His can be viewed in the infamous "Come in and hate on my honda" thread

Many of you may know this atrocity from - https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/rx8-clubs-not-ready-lol-170644/page2/

Anyways, takata on white has been a long time dream of mine - I saw a set of concave cr kais and jumped on the opportunity. I currently have a more proper set of tires on the way and wished for images not to show up but looks like the cats out of the bag. For those of you unfamiliar, the wheels do not weigh substantially more than my previous RPF1 setup yet will give me a much much wider stance. I believe in quality modifications with a purpose. For those of you curious, the current modifications on my car the JIC full titanium catback, HKS coilovers, just to name a small few.

My old setup:

Just after fitting the wheels:

Hate them, love them, have no opinion - its all good! I didn't buy the wheels to provoke an internet community, I purchased them to set my car out from the rest and do my own thing. Raw fitment photos are very different from full aero + proper photoshoot photos Alex indeed has friends (lmao) and I am one of them, going back to early high school. Friends don't always see eye to eye on everything and that should be quite apparent. He's got a very unique and clear opinion of cars as well as a passion for stirring up commotion - he is a good guy though.

The wheels specs are 18x7.5 +48

Loving the Takata Green but not feeling the rear fender pulling. I saw TE37 in Takata Green on a black MS3 and that was unusually but nicely done also.

I think the problem is that the body is stock.. maybe if it has an aggressive kit, then its another story. This 8 needs to be tricked out to really pull these rims off, but I think it has potential!

yeah can I ask what is wrong with your hood? for a car that stock, I don't realize how the hood could have any misfitting.

That hood is pretty retarded...beside that, the car looked pretty good, before those awful green rims were put on. O and 404: center caps not found.

even if its 9.5 it still wont sit that far out... it has to be like 9.5 with like +22 or +18

ther is no way 18.7.5 with a +45 off set is that far out. thats more INward than stock wheels. maybe he meant 18 x 17.5? lol

Nah it just needs some Pokemon and Pikachu vinyls and it will be all set!

Tilt, you sound like a somewhat sensible fella, which makes these choices seem so odd, but in the end it is YOUR ride. Your boy Alex though, is cuckoo for coco puffs, for real LOL.

If it's for track time, Fine... but as a DD not digging them man... Like'd the old setup better, would've been better if it was gold or black as a rim colour
