back to Mazda for a software upgrade? Has anyone ever done anything like that?

 

Uh.... you talking about a firmware update? Pretty sure the dealer can accomplish that for you. Probably no more than an hour labor charge at most. Certainly no more expensive then sending you headunit to a third party (or "Mazda") would cost.

they should do reflashes for free....

if you havent got the msp16 service done, it includes the latest software. and its mandatory. and free.

 

I thought the msp16 had to do with the lack of power for your engine....is there supposed to be something else for the radio HU?

 

does Mazdaparts.com not offer the firmware update service anymore?
