Alright sorry for the delay but we have finally been able to make it official. The RX8 Texas statewide event will be held the weekend of May 15th to 17th. Call the Inn of the Hills to book your room (Reservations: (800) 292-5690) and let them know that you are with the RX8 car club so that you can get the discounted rates.

Rooms must be booked with the hotel by April 8th to guarantee the rate and rooms.

Saturday night, May 16th, we will be having a group dinner at the hotel. They have an all-you-can-eat prime rib buffet, along with other foods (fish, brisket, veggies, salad). Drinks and dessert are included for $16 plus tax (there will be an 18% gratuity).

When you post that you are coming, please indicate when you've made your reservation and verify that you will be joining us for the dinner Saturday night so we can have them set aside room for us.

There is a family sport center next door with free basketball, racquetball, and swimming.

The Inn does have a pool and dependent on the weather, we may end up around/in it at some point.

So really if you want the best deal it would be best to pack four to a room, but that is something that you will have to figure out on your own. When I post this on the RX8club.com you guys should talk to the people you know and see if you can fit 4 to a room to help out your costs.

We also need to set up another cruise for the DFW folks on the way down like we did last time, that way even the trip down is fun

If anyone in the dfw crew plans on leaving late (like around 5) my wife may need a ride down (she'd have to know you) because she cant take the day off (teachers cant take days off in May unless they have special permission)

I just called in my reservation and they do have double queens available. You have the option of single queen, double full or double queen, dependent on how many you plan to have in your room.

 

There is no registration at the site. It is now only if you want to buy a T-shirt or not.

Its done through paypal. If you have any other questions please let us know.

Well not as far as we went last year, ie from Dallas to The Dragon! Highway 129 in SC

 

It's roughly 6 hours, give or take a an hour or so. The only issue atm is having to be back to work Monday at 0600. I will know by next week.
