Has anyone checked out the 2009 Mazda 6 on mazdausa.com yet?

I just finished looking through the new 09 Mazda 6 on the www.mazdausa.com website. Seems like Mazda took a brand new approach to marketing their cars when it comes to multimedia like commercial and their websites. They make everything so dramatic and epic. Much better than their previously marketing strategy IMHO. No more childish "tee hee hee zoom zoom!". I'm liking this whole new "Watch out! Bad *** new car from Mazda" thing.

I checked it out a couple of weeks ago when I was researching new cars for my Mom. She ended up buying a Black Cherry Touring. Very nice car.

odd... I only checked a few others, but it would seem that the 6 is the only one that has the revamped look (of the website that is). I do like the new look they're going for... should be more eye catching for a lot of people.

My wife and I test drove the 4 banger two weeks ago, really wanted to to drive the V6, but they didn't have any in. Needless to say that 4 banger was peppy, but what really won me over was the fit and finish of the new 6! Its like being in a luxury car, and not to forget the handeling of that car was excellent for a sedan.

People who are looking to get good looking sedan with all the bells and whistles with flare , they really need to check out the new 6. I really don't think they would be dissapointed. The new 6 has grown up, but it definitely has not lost its youthful spirit on the road.

If I had to sum it up, it not as boring as the two rolling appliances, theToyota Camary and Honda Accord(test drove those two boats, what a snooze fest), yet it not as in your face as the Altima with its garbage plastic interior. The 6 fits in the middle IMO.... Its grown up like the Camary and Accord, yet packs some excitement like the Altima, with Mazda refined interior, so you get a package from the best of all worlds.

How can you go wrong with that?

Not the first time I heard that, haha. I caught my cousin saying "THe new Mazda 6 is a beautiful car, eh?" to his girlfriend a few weeks ago when a commercial came out. Quite surprising coming from him because he hates Mazda with a passion (even though he's the generic "if it's reliable and gets awesome mileage, i like it, Toyota/Honda econo guy").

Yeah, I mean...I wasn't huge on the previous iterations, mainly because it looks too "samey" to me. But this one looks great...I see plenty of hints of the new style, which is great.

From what I have gathered from taking it out for a drive was that it feels alot smaller than it actually is. It definitely doesn't feel like you are driving something that big, and it is BIG. Back seat legroom is awesome. I adjusted the Front seat for me at 6 foot and then got in back, my knees didn't even come close to touching the front seats.

All in all, it is a very nice car. The paint is smooth, no orange peel, everything just feels solid in it. The engine is nice, and it doesn't seem like it is straining to pull the car along (4 CYL). The plastics are nice, the Bose system sounds better than the 8s Bose but its still not fantastic. If I was shopping for a 4 door family car the 6 would be on the top of my list.

something about the exterior of the new one irks me. It doesn't quite look right to me.

Folks who consider the new 6 beautiful is because they didn't see the RoW version.

its that dang headlight. too much vacant space between it and that lower grille. im ashamed to say it but it has the same look - headlight to lower grill- as the prius

I checked it out and was building one on the site until I couldn't find a manual tranny option for the V6. WTF? Oh well, I wouldn't be in the market for a car this big right now anyways. Great looking car in the flesh (much better than the competition).

The whole MazdaUSA.com needs to be overhauled. Check out the Japanese site, the RX-8 section has more in depth info on the Renesis, like making a point of the new oil metering injectors.
