Angry Help 325i Trouble!

my bro has been driving a 325i four door and lately it has been having lots of overheating issues we have already spent 5,000 trying to fix the problem and just right now i had to go pick him up we pushed that heavy piece of sh.. 1/2 a mile we just got it back from the shop 2 weeks ago they replaced the radiator last year and the past month they put new hoses a new water pump a new fan a new thermostat etc. but it keeps leaking is there a possibility that there is too much pressure wich is causing small leaks some where in the sytem any help would be very appreciated thanks even though this isnt an rx-8

I had overheating probs with my departed Z3. Once the engine overheats, it cracks the expansion tank. Replacing the thermostat (original cause of the problem), you have to also replace the expansion tank.
Common problem with that 3.0 motor. They use plastic impellers in the water pump and thermostats usually go within 50K.

thanks i'll make sure to check if they replaced that also. oh and zumn yeah some people are really **** about things lol but people talk about honda and nissan why not bmw.back to topic my bro said the car didnt tell him it was overheating so im more than sure it's a leak somewhere cuz the coolant can get on the motor and start smoking wich it was and man did it smell! lol and when he was pushing it the idiot jumped in the car trying to stop it by slaming the brakes but it was too late he hit a tree it was loud but there was no damage so its cool

Here is where I go for all my 328i ills:
www.bimmerfest
www.bimmerwerks
and the BEST resource, google pelican parts. They have several tech articles w/ detailed DIYs with pics and very good part prices for BMWs. They are TOP NOTCH! No affilliation, just a very satisfied customer.

Now, did they replace the thermostat housing? It, like the pump propeller, radiator tank, and expansion tank, is plasitc and can fracture when overheated or with age. Most of these have metal replacements available at the parts supplier listed above. Do you see where the coolant is coming from? Worse case scenerio is a cracked head or leaking head gasket, but unlikely since you say it is spraying.

Waterpumps are designed to leak when they go bad. There is a small wheep-hole underneath it, check to see if that is leaking.

another thing i told my dad to ask the shop if theyre using oem parts as in oem expansion tank and cap and sensors because my bros car didnt tell him it was overheating and if they used the wrong cap it could have caused extra pressure in the sytem

When my Dad had an M Roadster, I ordered a few parts from these guys. Shipped fast and they had pretty good service. They also might be able to help you out with finding out the problem.

you're annoying... Maybe you posted in the wrong section? if it's in general automotive it shouldn't have been moved or locked.
