Put your car to neutral at the stoplight. It can save you a bit of gas.
D at stoplight = .55gal/hour fuel
N at stoplight = .48gal/hour fuel

To do what? Put the car in netural at stops?
Now if the OP was talking about coasting in netural with engine off or flat towing with the engine off(Too save gas
) thats a different story.
Dont know if Mazda still do it in the RX-8 owners manual........but
In the owners manuals of the JDM version Eunos Cosmo (90-95) + JDM Mazda RX-7 auto (92-02). Mazda tell owners to put the shifter into "N" at traffic lights or during extended stops.
Have been popping my box into "N" since the day I purchased my 03-model.
Had a Eunos Cosmo for 6-years now & been doing the same to it. ZERO negative effects

Maybe I should get out and push it through drive-throughs?
