Performance chip for RX8
I was thinking of get a performance chip and I would like to know if there are safe on the engine? Does it use less gas or burn more? If there are any good chips, want brand should I get?

The ONLY performance chip that works is inside a device like the Cobb AccessPORT. Anything you see on Ebay or promoted by Billy Mays types is a scam.

The Cobb AccessPort is better than a chip replacement. With the AP, you are reprogramming the chip while it remains in the computer. This means that you can custom tune your car to the modifications you do or don't have.
Do a search, on this site, for the AccessPort and learn it's advantages before you decide to buy.
Other devices with similar functions should be released in the future, but they wouldn't have the install base that the AP has.

I only ask because I meet someone with RX8 Shinka and he said his car is packing 300hp, when I ask whats in the engine he said racing chip. He said it was factory. Does anyone know what he is talking about? What is a Shinka RX8?
A Shinka is a special edition RX8 . A few interior/exterior color choices not available on any other RX8. It has slightly modified structural integrity and sportier suspension.

I know it's a chip shot . My point is - you can't have an arrow pointing to a golf ball saying it is a chip . That is like destoying the english laguage - the very fabric of western civilisation .......
