Engine Seized w/ 34000 miles!!

Hey guys just an update on my other post asking if anyone knew what was going on with my car...https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/i-think-my-engine-just-seized-help-153935/. I had it towed to the dealer and he said the engine definitely seized. All fluids were always topped off, ive had it brought in for every TSB and flash, and it never had any issues whatsoever on lack of power. It ran perfect, then suddenly I heard a bang, and game over. Only mods were various intakes and a midpipe..just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Thank god for warrenties i guess

It would make more sense to update the first thread instead of starting a new one. Someone reading the other thread, gets to the end, and thinks; "so, what happened???". What is the point of a new thread?

I'm not nearly as **** as Nubo... I'm fine with a new thread...

So what exactly caused the engine to seize?

similar to BRGREEN8s car. Engine just seized out of nowhere. He wasn't driving it though, once he parked it wouldn't start again. Wouldn't turn over. Then he got a new engine. His was an 05 AT as well.

yea i could have continued the thread, i just figured this would be easier to search for if anyone came across a similar no start issue.... Nope oil levels were topped off, no oil was leaking. Now i start the process of giving them all my service records and hope they dont give me the run around on a new engine if oil changes werent exactely at 3000 miles. Well see... just a heads up for you A/T owners, it could happen, my car ran perfect up until the other day

You should not have to give them ****. Mazda should just replace your Engine.

I had to give them oil change records for at most every 6000 miles since the car was new, and records showing I had reflashes at the dealer. It was a pain in the ***, and every time I gave them something, they asked for more. In the end, the motor is ordered and will be in sometime this week. They have no idea why it seized, and im clueless...hopefully this new motor will put out some more power, maybe i had compression issues or something before

you dont' have to prove oil changes every 3,000 REGARDLESS of what the Service Department tells you.

Section 8-4 of the '05 Manual shows Schedule 1 of Maintenance Schedule.

Engine Oil = 6 months, or 7,500 miles.
