MS kit/oil cooler duct weirdness

so i just had my ms front installed and there's something weird about the oil cooler ducts. you know how the oil coolers have that rubber surround? and how the ms front has those plastic ducts built in? well the shop that put the bumper on just kinda squeezed it on there and now the rubber bits are somewhat blocking the oil coolers. this looks really strange so i need to figure out what to do about it

have you guys seen this before? do you leave the rubber ducts in or take them out? do you just tuck them in lower so they don't show? any ideas would be appreciated so i can go yell at the shop. i'm a little worried about taking them out since they hold in my RB oil cooler screens..

thanks!

Yeah so they installed your ducks backwards...I just installed the MS bumper, and put the fog light brackets in myself, and it looks nothing like that.

Wow. They totally f*cked that up!
They used the wrong piece for the duct and they didn't trim around the fog lamp.
Obviously, they are worthless.

the rubber duct comes of, with the 2 or 3 plastic screws, fits much better too! idk how they squezed that on, they even say in the instructions on how to mount the bumper to remove the rubber duct of oil cooler. lmao.

The MS bumper comes with its own ducts that replace the OE rubber ducts.

I just can't believe they put the mesh over the fog lamps.
That is so ghetto.

That doesn't look right at all. I had my dealership install my kit few weeks ago, it doesn't come with any template what so ever, and they had to eye ball the fog light with bracket onto the bumper to trim the mesh to fit the fog light because the light stick out a little bit through the mesh.

thanks all

these are genuine ms parts and did have instructions, but i didn't read them myself. i figured the shop would though..

so you're saying they should take off the original rubber ducts? the ms kit has ducts already built in so are those sufficient? how can i keep my rb oil cooler screens in after the fact?

as for fog lights, i read the thread about the install and know you can cut the ms grill so the lights can come through but they said it wasn't possible to move them forward anymore. you guys are saying that your fogs stick through the mesh? i can make them fix all this for free, but if it's too hard for them i might be better off somewhere else like you said.

The template is folded inside the instructions.

The oil cooler duct should look like this:

Does anyone have the install instruction(english version) and willing to scan them and post them here? I'm trying to find the instruction to prove to my dealer that the OEM oil cooler duct must be removed for MS duct or else they won't remove them. Right now, they have both OEM and MS duct installed and they jam the MS duct in there. Any help is much appreciated.

You can download the Instructions from here

some of the files in there didn't work for me.

in any case. i would just take off the bumper and fix it. the dealer obviously doesn't know how to do it.

It takes like 30 minutes to fix that right up. Do it yourself.

dondo, thanks for the instruction. The dealership has agreed to remove the OEM duct. I could have done it myself but it's the principle, I just want to prove them wrong.

Apparently, only the sideskirt and diffuser are in English, the rest are in Japanese.
