A-Spec Kit???
A-Spec Kit???
After looking around both here and various other websites for a body kit idea I've pretty much settles on the "A-spec" full body kit. I like it's simplistic and sparing design and from what I can gather it's a fairly simple install.
My only concern is that I've only seen this kit on one website, www.grounddynamics.com. I worry about this since generally most kits are sold by a bunch of distributors. Is this some crappy, cheap knock-off brand of some other kit, or does it just not appeal to anyone else?
Currently my '07 is stock and I'm just looking for something to spruce it up a bit and make it a little more noticeable. I know many of you are going to think, initially, "why not get a good kit like Veilside?" The answer is ground clearance. Anyone living in a mountainous and high altitude then you know roads suck both with harsh angles and massive pit holes. This seemed like a good compromise for Utah roads.
Any thoughts or owner feedback would be appreciated.

i've never really heard anything about them, try and do some research before you buy it though just to be sure, someone else will log in and let you know. but i would do some research first.

The A-Spec kit is a knock-off. The original kit is from AutoEXE and is called the "SE-02S". Seibon also makes a replica of the AutoEXE kit called the "Type AE" that is also on the grounddynamics site as well as a bunch of other sites (just search for it on google). I know there is someone on here that has the Seibon version, but I can't remember their name.
Personally I wouldn't risk getting the A-Spec kit even if it is like 400 dollars less than the Seibon. I would at least get the Seibon if not the original AutoEXE. Its your money though but it has been proven more than a few times that you get what you pay for when it comes to body kits. Thats my 2 cents anyways.
Here is a link to the original kit, it is about halfway down the page:

seibon has fit issues as well.....this kit is a knock off of a knock off actually.....you get what you pay for and if you buy this i can assure you that your body guy will be pissed and overcharge you on labor
i have the seibon kit, minus rear and wing, the only issues i have is from the sideskirts, but i think its because i installed it myself at night with no light, anyways if u take it to a shop they should be able to fit it for you pretty well.

Ok, so looking around on both the Seibon and AutoEXE websites I found the body kit I was looking for but Seibon says it only fits up to 2005 RX-8s and AutoEXE doesn't specify a year range for the kit. I've never noticed a difference in dimensions until the 2009 models but as I own a 2007 I was wondering if I should be concerned here or not.
