Can't find vfad ; write up/DIY

Ive been searcing the Forums with the Search Tool but I vant find any DIY's or any type of write up on removing your Vfad. I get alot of information about the Vfad but nothing that will help with the removal.

If someone could point me in the direction of a Thread about this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thankx!
Mike

The information you need is in the service manual.

Well anyway, all u need to do is remove your front bumper, u will see the whole VFAD there, there is one thing u need to keep, is the temp sensor located somewhere down there to the driver side (assume that u're US spec rx8)

Why would u want to remove it ? to install RB duct or CAI ?

This is the best I could find:
The dashed-lines represent the whole VFAD assembly.
Once you remove the air box, the removal of the VFAD is pretty self explanatory.
The VFAD actuator is inside the fresh air duct pipe, so like nycgps pointed out, you'll need to remove the front bumper to get that out.
I too question why you would want to remove this. If its because you are looking into purchasing a CAI, most of them come with instructions to help.
