Ran over a truck tire.....

First of all let me just say I am glad I found an rx8 forum. I have owned my rx8 for about 4 months now and I am still in love with it and now this happens... So I ran over a truck tire on my way back from work today, long story short... tire 1 rx8 0.
My car was already lowered when i bought it and had a front chin spoiler on it... well the CF front spoiler cracked, the engine cover fell off, the fender liners lost the front part and the bumper cover came loose. Now onto repairing it. How much am I looking at do you think? where can i find the lower engine cover and both fender liners along with hardware at a good price? my rx8 is the touring model so I will also need the front skirt. I know it already sounds expensive even without replacing the CF lip. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks and I look forward to learning more about these cars.

Welcome to the forum!
Sorry that happened to your 8

You can check with the vendors on the forum such as Mazmart and post in the RX-8 Parts For Sale/Wanted section

Check this link, near the bottom, for RX-8 part numbers and manuals

kinda along the same lines of what happened with me. i was quoted a price by a local shop and saw that it was almost the same price to go aftermarket. so if you like an aftermarket front bumper you may wanna look into that route. as for the other parts, i would say the for sale or wanted section as stated above if that doesnt work than just go to your dealer.

there is an ebay store selling aero kit pieces at very good prices. you can even make them an offer lower than the asking price. just send them a message asking for the color you want though.

If the tire was in the middle of the road then its not your fault. insurance will cover this if you got full coverage. 2 weeks ago i hit part of a curb that was laying in the middle of the far left lane. My mazdaspeed bumeper cracked, my front left aftermarket rim was bent, the cross brace at the bottom was dented, and i punctured a hole in my oil pan which basically was GG. Insurance came to look at it and covered everything, gave me a check for 4 grand. I only have to put down $500 but i know the guy at the bodyshop so he just took the insurance check and dident make me pay the $500.

doesn't sound that bad, my mother ran over a tire and had to pay $1.5k to fix body damages and $1.4k more to replace the shocks and do suspension work. Bmw's can be pricey

You can buy new inserts for the liner undeath. One really needs to take a look at it and the fender wells before stating a cost.

You can make a under carriage liner yourself. MM posted some pictures. I should too.
