I have a few issues with the vehicle that probably needs addressing. If you guys have any idea what's up, please do tell me. I'd like the dealer to do minimum work if possible.

1) The A/C clutch is making a squeaking noise. I know it's the A/C clutch because I noticed that there's a pulley right below the engine that turns whenever I turn the A/C on, and stops whenever I turn it off. I double checked this with my instructor at AutoCross school. It squeaks every time I turn it on, and then periodically thereafter (the pulley stops spinning and starts again every once in a while when the A/C is running).

2) The powertrain (could be limited slip diff or clutch) is making noises whenever it gets warm, and when I try to turn from a stop. I'm hoping that's just the rear diff fluid being due for a change... Anyway, it makes this noise that sounds like scratching in the sand, and the car jitters a little.

3) The rotary idles lower than 1000rpm. This sends the entire car into a shake. Sometimes it idles so low that it almost stalls itself, and then it seems to realize it and kicks the rpms back to 1000, before repeating itself. Spark plugs are brand new, and just got changed 1000mi ago.

Vehicle is at 31,000mi.

 

For the AC noise, check your belt tension. A loose belt can squeal when it tries to get the compressor turning (it's a considerable load). Also, sometimes a belt will become "glazed" and an application of belt dressing can help stop squealing. Usually by this time though the belt may be ready for replacment. You don't say how old (years) the car is.

For the turning noise you might want to make sure your lug nuts are accurately torqued to 108 lb-ft. Lower torque has been known to result in noise while turning though I haven't seen it described as scratching in sand. Maybe something rubbing? Is noise from front or rear? If you suspect lubrication, change ASAP, imo.

For number 3, I'd take to dealer assuming you have warranty. There are several bulletins out for addressing this kind of thing.
