Problem with RPM

Hi guys i hope you can see the picture. This is my modification... afeter this.. my RPM start to jump up and down... od D(rive)...N(eutral)....or even P(arking).... the rpm start jump from 1.2... to 0.5 and i think in automatic it should be a little bit before 1... help me please because i wanna fix this problem... thanks The guy who install this item in my car has like 30 years of experiance in reparing and upgrading cars... so i really dont know what could be the problem...

MAF is pissed of.....Area ahead of MAF is causing turbulant flow..

several problems. Like Dan said you have some very turbulent air that is messing up the MAF measurements. also - but not related to your surge- you have removed the box around the stock filter which kept the hot engine bay air out of your engine. thats not good.

the other problem with your surge is probably have a vacuum leak because you/they have removed the vacuum line that runs the VFAD without plugging the Vacuum port at the block

... ... when i bought my car used... it had one of these filters on it... i replaced it with the rb intake... and duct... and noticed how much of a power killer the cone filter was.... it was because it was drawing in all of the hot air from the engine... ... ... once the engine got warm .... you could feel the power fall off.... but the rb intake... and duct... took care of that problem...

to sum up what everyone has said so far:

put the stock air filer back on or get good intake, AEM/Mazdaspeed, Racing Beat, etc..
