Lightbulb CF hood can i mod it?

Hey guys I can buy a new CF hood from a friend for 220 now, but i want to get a greddy in it and everyone tells me i need a vented hood.

Could i mod it later and be able to put a hood scoop or vents in it? or even mod my stock hood i have on it now?

If so where would i go about doing this?

you don't need a vented hood.

theirs a guy i know who sells hoods and is selling them for 220 new it sounds to good to be true but is their anything i should look for when i go to see it to make sure it wont rattle way too much at even low speeds or anything? he says he can get me any seibon or VIS hood after i asked him i was interested in buying a vented hood. but the manufacturer of the $220 hood is the same as VIS any tips?

check the clear
check the weave
check the fitment

pretty much it. our hood is light enough that a cf hood is comparable to it. shouldn't move around or wobble much. just make sure it doesn't fly off at 80+

You are going to get taken, plain and simple. VIS makes their own hoods as does Seibon. Your friend is full of doo-doo.

you can mod ur cf hood, why not?
you can even vent ur cf hood too later on, why not?

i skipped all that $$$ spending bs and lightened and vented my stock one.

but doing all that is not for those veint of heart. i was pretty ballsy to cut into my hood... and shitting bricks at the same time doing the cuts.

the only benefit i get outta this? looking stock for the most part, and keeping some tools =)
