Question CEL not on after midpipe install :[

As the title stated i recently installed my turboxs midpipe with my turboxs cat back. And my cel did not come on at all my car is a 04 model with about 40,000 miles and my mods are a k&n drop in filter and a canzoomer piggyback and the turboxs exhaust. Could the canzoomer be causing my cel to not come on?? im so confused lol

the car checks for several things. you need to drive the car in a few different situations before it verifies cat issue and lights up.

The CZ unit did not Disable your CEL and some users have there CEL for being Cat Less and some don't.

If you have a misfire the CEL will light up. The downstream O2 sensor has no affect on misfire monitoring. The only thing the downstream sensor does is monitor catalyst efficiency. When the car is in closed looped operation the ECU looks at the signal from the upstream O2 sensor to control your air/fuel ratio. The ECU then knows from that signal what the downstream sensor should be reporting if the cat is working properly. If the two signals do not correspond with one another then you will have a CEL for either catalyst system inefficiency or a voltage range issues on the downstream unit. When the ECU is running through it’s readiness monitors, the catalyst efficiency is the last thing that is checked. If you don’t meet the correct driving conditions for all of the other monitors to set, it may take a week or two for that CEL to come on. However, (I have no explanation for this) I have a friend with a Sentra SE-R Spec V that ran without cats or an O2 simulator for over a year and never had a CEL.

After a certain number of 'drive-cycles' the CEL will go off, to allow new codes to be seen. It's not 'gone', it is still set in the memory as a fail, but the light is off.
