Kosei K1 TS

Anybody has 18" Kosei K1 TS??

It's really light weight cast wheel.

Wheelweights.net said it's only 16.8lbs for 18X8. I was surprised by weight.

Anybody Pictures with 8??

Price???

Thanks

The K1 TS has a reputation for being rather soft. Whether that's deserved or not I don't know, but I've never seen them on a RX-8. Maybe the offsets aren't RX-8 friendly?

They come in +38 offset which is perfect for the 8...

I've had the 17s for two seasons now as my winter wheels, with Dunlop M3s. Before that, I ran 'em as winter wheels on my MX-5. Great wheels! I'm pretty good at avoiding potholes, but still get my share, and haven't had any problems with the wheels yet. (They look really cool, too.)

I put the light grey ones on my Velocity Red RX8 for my winter tires. Seem fine to this point. I've hit pot holes, but try to avoid them. I got the 17s with Dunlop WinterSport 3Ds.

What you saw was Kosei K3.
IT's different wheel. It's Kosei K1 TS.
I have searched it. It's 16.8 lbs for 18X8

I think I will buy this rim if it is avaible for RX8...
Only saw with 17" so far.....

I have a pic of them on my 89 Sentra SE Hatchback Project...

14x6 +38 195/60R14 Falken ZE912

But these are a bit smaller than you'd want to run... I just posted it for the LOLZ.

But mine only weigh 8.9lbs! ;]

I figured this picture might interest you too: wheel before I mounted a tire on it.

Reminder: it's a 14x6. The face is VERY similar in the larger sizes (saw a set of 18x8s on an Audi TT). No concavity.

I saw them for $460+ EACH on some other site. I echo the poster quoted above: The Enkei RPF-1 is a legitimate, competition quality wheel, looks even better (I think Kosei may have copied them), weighs very nearly the same, and is just a way better product. Give up on the Kosei and get the Enkei, unless your getting the Kosei for $100 each.

I got my Koseis for $95 ea... ;]

If you're tracking the car go with the RPF1.
If you're sticking to the streets get the K1-TS.

If it were me I'd get a much wider wheel... but that's my opinion.

I just weighed in my Kosei K1TS 18x8 for my 2008 RX8 at 17.8 lbs and listed by Tire Rack at 17.2, I can't say how accurate the scale at my condo exercise room is but these rims feel quite right. I am counting on this cast roll form technology for strength and durability. Have not yet put them on but the Toyota name is also on the sticker. So far I feel pretty good about things especially since the Enkei RFPT1 are quite a bit more money with an extra $25.00/wheel for center caps. That is 179.00/wheel including center cap for the Kosei vrs 310.00/wheel including center caps for Enkei at about the same weight and not much heavier then the Axis Circuit 18x8.5 at 16.7 lbs. The Kosei have a 40 mm offset, the Enkei have 35 mm and Axis at 45 mm. The best price I have seen on the Axis is 299.00/wheel with a dull looking center cap and a hefty shipping charge. I don't really have any plans on Club Racing again but I think it is pretty much still in the back of my mind.
