Canada MAP Extended Warranty & TSBs (Sunroof & Rear Combination Light Moisture)

Has anyone else in the GTA had issues with dealers informing them that Mazda Canada won't honour warranty repairs on TSBs?

I've had the sunroof rattle issue for a while and Mazda Canada told me to **** myself and wouldn't repair it. Two (2) dealers have put parts/repair quotes to me for about $500; even though it's covered in the US.

Secondly, today I've noticed that my rear combination light is completely murky with condensation. One of the Toronto dealers has already indicated that it's not covered under the MAP warranty (only the 3-year standard warranty). So I'm looking at another $300-500 if they have to replace both lights (and not just the gaskets - which will only be $100-140 out of pocket).

This is a little ridiculous considering we shell out cash for an extended warranty that seemingly covers nothing.

Has anyone dealt with a dealer in Toronto who actually honours the warranty plan (MAP) and will do the work?

The extended warranties only cover the parts that never fail.
Check if the moisture-in-the-tail-light DIY fixes will work for you.
If not then get the tail light units from Ebay. There are lots of them fairly cheap.
Buy the new gaskets from a good dealer online.
See the vendor forum on this site for parts.

I have both those problems.
Let us know how you finally settle on.

As far as dealers go, I don't even like walking into my home town dealer little lone bring my car there.

Mazda dealers = garbage. Once your bumper-to-bumper warranty runs out, you might as well forget that the dealerships ever existed.

You guys rule You've all told me exactly what I know about Mazda support.....well the surprise is that the dealer is fixing the sunroof under the TSB (and under warranty); but I have to pay for the new gasket for them to fix the tailight.

As long as the gasket solves the second problem - I'm actually quite pleased with this experience.
