Talking BCRX8 - Show And Shine Workshop November 10

Saturday, November 10th 10:00am

This is the next show and shine for BCRX8. We will have a new muffler tip polish product to demonstrate.
Anyone doing the show will achieve this spectacular level of dazzling car care.

Don't forget the 8 dollars in change for the car wash.

Product highlights:
Clay Bar

Rain-X Window Cleaner
The Liquid black tire polish + Turtle Tire foam spray

Cost Break Down

Overall the cars will get a substantial coat of protection and shine. The brightness, contrast and pearl undercoat will be noticeably enhanced.
Arrive at the Royal Oak touch less car wash by 10 am for the wash & full cloth pre-cleaning. We are getting quicker at these workshops. The more repeats, the faster the workshop.

You must bring:
15 Dollars for product resupply (First Timers)
Or
12 Dollars for product resupply (Return Visit)
8 Dollars in change for the touch-less car wash
3X Soft bath towels
1X Full Roll of Paper Towel

Once clean, we migrate to the show and shine location.

Same time, same place, bring the same stuff, and this time, it's less expensive.

I am under the impression from other Car Detailing forums that the NXT wax is a cleaner wax. So each time you apply it it removes the old layer.

The website description changed. Before they recommended using it as stand alone, and that it could be layered.

Since we only add one coat a month, it's cleaning functions are still beneficial. However, I'd like to see if their "Pinnacle Souveran or Signature Series II" as alternatives for protective layering against weather conditions. One product we also use is Nu-Finish, which we recommend as the first layer to a first comer to the Show & Shine. Be sure to know, we will be trying out other super waxes later on: Zaino, Zymol, AutoGlim. Sometimes what is best... really comes down to personal preferences. Right now... NXT is cheap AND effective for it's price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super for the price, January 7, 2006

I own a detail shop. I have tried many products over the years and have found the polymer products work the best. I use Zaino as my main finish protectant. But did give NXT Tech Wax a try. I always try new products on my own cars before any customers. I waxed both my 2004 auto's in the same weekend, 1 with Zaino's and the other with NXT Tech Wax. As far as I can see the NXT went on and off as easy, left as deep a shine and seems to stand up to the eliments just as well as the Zaino's. With the only real difference being price I'll be using the NXT Tech wax from now on.

The price at Amazon was more than $5 less than my local Target store. The wax is a liqht liquid that's not only easy to apply but easy to remove as well. I was able to wax my Mercedes convertible in about 30 minutes. For best results, I would use a microfiber towel to remove the wax and for a final polishing. The shine is incredible and it leaves the paint feeling silky smooth. Although it's only been a month since I waxed my car, after 4 washings it still looks great. This is certainly the best wax I have ever used. I highly recommend this product.

If only two cars show up.... man that's going to be an easy workshop. My car is basically done already, so it just means one other person gets their car done for next to no effort.

Thank you to all that showed up!

Eldon
Rick
Stefan
Timothy

It was fun you guys there!
Hopefully we'll see more return visits next show and shine.

Cheers!

Here are some pics from the workshop:

My car (above) didn't even need wax. Just a rinse, and towel. (Plus some tire spray)

And Eldon showed up, in his two tone velocity brown/red:

This is what happens when lazy folks buy an RX8. This is the story of him, the two tone RX8, completely dirt covered, with the one sparkly clean muffler tip. Forever you will be known as
"Slowly Brown"
(like Charlie Brown but instead of a blanket, replace that with a shiny muffler)

"him" thinks it's funny too. I have to say, this was the perfect practical joke ever, since the owner allowed us to do this. Heheheheheh

You can't wax a car covered in mud. Or should I say "Slowly Brown". But you CAN do a muffler tip!! Hahahaha

Next time Eldon, wash the car would ya? you where there long enough for your car to have been waxed and shined anyways!

Some of us have accessories to help differentiate our cars from each other. Eldon seems to distinguish himself with the "dirty look".

Hey Eldon...seems your getting a reputation of being the "most likely to need a car wash" in the club......

I guess I shouldn't talk...I'm the one most likely to have a car in pieces
