Wheel Fitment questions?

Im looking to buy some new wheels online and I was just wondering what sizes will fit? I will be using 225/40/18 tires. What offsets? I dont know much of anything about wheel fitting. So any advice would be helpful thanks.

i wouldn't do 225/40/18 tires. it will throw off your speedometer.

I have been running that way for over 20k miles and have checked my speed against those radar-driven, roadside readouts a bazillion times. Worst case, your speedo reads 3-4 miles high. Due respect, so what? Isn't the enhanced turn-in response and general handling improvement worth the small mental effort required?
FWIW.

due respect why would you not do it right????

and what is the diff.. 3 or 4 mph? doubt you know..

or the fact that the speedo is right on with the stock tires till. 65 mph. then it reads 1.8 mph fast..

if it is off at a 35mph radar check, well. do the math..

18x8 is probably your best option, offset also depends on how aggresive you want to go with your look. Do you want your wheels coming out close to the edge of the fender or do you like the location of the stock wheels?

With an 8" wheel you have a lot more latitude than with a wider one.....at 9.5-10" you need about +45 offset to fit...you could probably get away with anything between 38-50 with an 8" wheel
