Can anyone tell me how to replace the lighter recepticle? I know it can't be that hard, but I don't want to mess up my console.

 

The lighter is part of the ashtry assembly. To get that out you need to remove the trim section around the shifter. I have found the best way to take that out without breaking clips is to remove the shifter **** and then pull straight up on the leather shifter boot. http://www.whatsmyip.org/ipodrx8/ shows another way. Once you get access to the two srcrews that hold in the ashtry the rest is easy.
