Bose upgrade questions...

I wanted to do a cheap upgrade... get rid of the 'tinny' sound of my Bose speakers (I imagine I'll replace the fronts, keep the rears alone for fill) and add a 10" subwoofer.

I want it to be a stealth installation -- stock head unit, and retain all functionality of the steering wheel controls as well as the stock radio. I want it to be as 'plug and play' as possible, and also reasonably cheap.

Anyways, some ideas would be appreciated -- I'm open to try anything for the car so I'll give it a shot if you can guide me in the right direction!

Thanks!

Nice install... you used the stock HU power for the speakers? I only see a single AMP for the sub, nothing else... or am I missing something? Do the speakers work without a hitch?

Yeah, the speakers are being powered off the headunit and they work GREAT! I've had them running at "max" (I think volume only goes to 32 then you see 'max') and no problems what so ever.

You'll need a line converter though.

The 6x9s you bought... those are for the rears, right? What if I wanted to replace the fronts? Are there 'drop ins' for that available? I'd rather buy a component set to plop in there.
