Bose upgrade questions...
Bose upgrade questions...
I wanted to do a cheap upgrade... get rid of the 'tinny' sound of my Bose speakers (I imagine I'll replace the fronts, keep the rears alone for fill) and add a 10" subwoofer.
I want it to be a stealth installation -- stock head unit, and retain all functionality of the steering wheel controls as well as the stock radio. I want it to be as 'plug and play' as possible, and also reasonably cheap.
Anyways, some ideas would be appreciated -- I'm open to try anything for the car so I'll give it a shot if you can guide me in the right direction!
Thanks!

Never fear, Jedi is here!
I did this upgrade last year for Sevenstock...here's the thread: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/jedis-bose-stereo-upgrade-103771/

Yeah, the speakers are being powered off the headunit and they work GREAT! I've had them running at "max" (I think volume only goes to 32 then you see 'max') and no problems what so ever.
You'll need a line converter though.

here's a thread with all the speaker sizes and info: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/speaker-sizes-harnesses-kits-etc-audio-install-reference-74664/
