Depends on your definition of 'better'. The 6 port has a bit more horsepower then the 4 port so that's definitely a plus. The 04 autos tend to have a bit more 'issues' then the latter Auto engines but that's not to say they're a bad engine, just a bit underpowered compared to their newer siblings.
