Is there a list of all the radio revisions for stock and bose radio's like what revisions do what, and what the highest revision thats out ?

 

I would be very interested to see this as well. Is there any compelling reason (aside from having an older firmware) why you couldn't put a base hu from an '04 into an '07?

 

Thats kinda what I'm trying to figure out...

Story time - So my reception was going out so the dealer got me a new radio under warranty. Put it in, reception was better but not the way it should be. So i contact them, and they say we put a stock radio in your car instead of a Bose, and thats why its not working right still. So I say ok fix it then. So they put the Bose in and its so quiet and its an older revision its like 9.5 and my friends Bose is a 9.8 but his is quiet to..the stock radio when I had it in, I could put it on 6 and it would be louder than his Bose at max.

So i'm wondering how much truth there is to this, and why a stock radio is louder than a Bose Premium Package, and why it has bass,mid, and treb but the Bose doesn't ?

I have an '07 with the base hu. For the last several weeks I've been working on my system install but I'm keeping the base hu. Unfortunately I made a really dumb rookie mistake with wiring when I was just about finished and fried the internal amp in the radio. I'm talking to a guy on here that is hooking me up with a base unit out of an '04. I've ordered an Auxmod from Sylfex for my Harman Kardon Drive + Play and my Parrot bluetooth module. I don't think I should run into any integration issues, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer one way or another. If anyone in the know can give any info it would be appreciated, but if not I guess I'll just plug and pray! Since the 8 doesn't run on a Windows OS I think I have pretty good odds!
