Is my After Market Exhaust coming loose?
Yesterday afternoon I noticed that my car was idling very "heavy". The noises that are normally quite robust but medium frequency were very low, guttural and loud. I have a 6 speed manual.
I also notice a rattling in the rear of the car (where the exhaust is) right as I accelerate. I also noticed that the car is louder as I'm accelerating and then when I press the clutch and take my foot off the gas it has the normal sounds again, but as soon as I release the clutch and give her some gas it takes on that very low/loud voice instead of her normal engine/exhaust sounds. It also seems to be idling a little low, but I'm not sure if that just started or I'm just noticing now.
The car handles fine, and there are no weird noises, just a different sound to the engine. Could it be that I just need my exhaust checked out...it might be slipping loose?
Thanks! Sorry if this is not very clear, but I'm not that familiar with cars and their parts.
