Hey all...

As of right now, I will be attending the Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie event on Friday the 2nd (the night before everything opens). My dad works for CHOP which is the main sponsor for the evening's show, so he is taking me because he knows how I much I love cars. I just wanted to let you all know that I will be taking pictures and will hopefully have them up sometime late Friday night or Saturday during the day for everyone to see. If anyone wants to reply to this and request pics of a certain car, I will do my best to oblige. I will def. be heading by the Mazda floor and the Tuner section to check out our fellow 8's that are there...

 

ill be there feb 4th but itd be nice to see pics of the Lotus section.

ive waited years for them to show lotus and they are finally gonna be there this year! i want a 2 day head start on viewin the Exige !!!!!! send pics!!!!!

 

Definitely will do. The Lotus exhibit was definitely on my must see already. All the exotics will get a good bit of my time. I hope you have a blast when you go. I've never been & am soooo excited.

Thanks, PSU. I'll be going over Mon or Wed. I was disappointed in the Mazda exhibit last year, any better this year?

 

There was one BB stock 8, there was an MX-5, Miata, and a few others. I'm sorry I can't recall all of them, but I think also a CX-7... It was alright, but other showcases were def. better.

 

Got pics I took at the show to put up for a looky!!! Was a fan of the models and the Corvette by street trenz. Very nice!

they don't have the convertible one, just the silver one from last yr.

 

I had them on another camera (NOT DIGITAL) sent them to be developed and the lab screwed them bad and couldn't "RETRIEVE" them. Whatever. When I get a chance this week I am going to go down and take pics of it again and see if the boys at the ropes will let me take the interior pics again. CROSSED FINGERS FOR BEST!!!!!!!!!

 

Went over to Philly tonite. Took a few pix of Blackout's 8. Here's one. Sorry, Ant, but the lighting just didnt help get a better picture! Great seeing your car, though. The Mazda area was disappointing as last year. They should have a decent 8 upfront where it can be seen coming thru the door, not hidden behind the SUVs. Wore my RX8 Club hoodie, hooping someone would ask...but I guess my looks scare them off!

 

yeah, I like mazda's ONE rx-8 at the show, hidden behind the throngs of SUV's and 3's and 6's

the 8 is exactly the kind of car you want at an auto show because it catches people's attention...don't put a black one (with a touring package) in the middle of the display

on the plus side, when i was there it was still getting a lot of attention

 

I kept wanting to say to the people looking at the 8, " Talk to me; I'll tell you all about this car!" I did last year & my daughter told me not to "work for Mazda" this year. That's why I wore the 8 hoodie. No one took the bait, though.

of course they had two right up in the front that time

 

People were talking to me after I was talking to the Mazda rep asking why my car and the dealership have to give me so many problems... Don't think the guy was to keen to talking to me, he kept saying to take it to another dealer.
