Another Family Member Has Arrived

Hey All,

Looks like the second set of cars is finally arriving. Got a call from my dealer Saturday morning: my car had arrived at the dealership after closing on the evening before. After a bit of searching to find a licence office open on the long weekend Saturday, I convinced them to have it ready for the afternoon (they wanted to wait until Tuesday... !!!...)

Anyway, many many thanks to the folks at Westowne Mazda in Etobicoke for putting up with me hanging around the dealership for the past year and a half, and for working hard to get the car out to me in one day: Dominic, Nicky, Matt, Roberto, and of course most of all my excellent salesman Neuman.

Titanium Grey, 6MT, Sunroof and Nav: you've seen 'em before, but here is mine. I also happened upon an E-Type at the local Canadian Tire, and given that it was a 2+2 I thought it made an interesting comparo

P.S. First tank of gas: 12.8 L/100 KM, or 21.9 mpg combined.

Cool

Hey 73JPS,

It finally arrived, huh?

It's incredible how you found a license office open on a weekend. I didn't think that was possible... lol

She looks sweet.... So we'll be seeing you at some of the meets we have scheduled, right? :D

Enjoy the car...

Later,

Nice, I'm not suprised about the license office, but heck my dealer said "the prep guys don't work on the weekend" so they can't deliver on the weekend!

Hell the car was already even preped, all they did was hose it down!

Thanks for all the kind words guys...

Got about 600 km on it now... power is a-ok by me , gonna try to make any scheduled events (keep us all posted Neo!), and Gord too bad you can't change your handle to Gord04TiGrey, 'cause you gotta admit its the best colour going

Just two things I've noticed on the bummer side of things: my dash "creaks" a bit around the NAV installation, and the ABS self test that occurs just after the car starts moving forward for the first time is quite noisy... anybody else have anything similar (no comments from ZoomZoom! )?

So Wing, you getting yours on Tuesday? It really is hard to get dealers to move on deliveries, I have noticed...

No it's not the sound of the ABS self test... it's the sound of your rotary looking for it's lost 9 HP on startup.

Build date was July 2003, and the VIN serial is around ten thousand five hundred or so...
