Will the following remote work, or is it programmable, on a 2005 RX8

I think the is 2004 Remote, was wondering if compatible with 2005. Have been trying to program it to my 2005 but it isn't working.

Thanks Swoope. I had seen that post before but there are others that say some 04 remotes work on 05. So are you saying that only the model/fcc id listed will work on 2005 ?

 

dont know for sure, but if the 05 will work on the 04 it should work the other way.... the car does know what year the fob is it just knows the freq.

Thanks swoope. I have an 04 remote (or at least the 04 model and FCC id# remote). Can't get it to reprogram on my 05 so was wondering if anyone has ever done it. That was reason for post in first place. Also wondering if my remote battery is dead.
