2 time gearbox has blown ??? NEED ADVICE!!

hey Guys,

Last night i was driving my 8 (finally) from getting it back from promaz in Melbourne, Australia, with my full exhaust back on (had to put all stock parts back on to get a new engine from mazda ) I was accelerating through second gear and it just popped and its buggered again.. why the hell does this always happen??

I have a feeling that there is a problem with my clutch because ever since the first time they changed the box i have had like a "low peddle". The clutch friction point is just about 1cm off the floor, rather that near the top. It feels like the clutch isnt fully disengaged and causes me to grind gears sometimes.. usually second hence the broken box now..

Will mazda cover me for this???
I have mentioned it to them a few times and they have said they dont know how to fix it and all they do is just bleed the clutch line and after a day or 2 it just goes back to how it was hence causing another busted Gear Box...
any help would be great guys.. sorry for the long post i know its a pain in the ****..

thanks

Need more info.

Mazda changed your engine? Why? Was the clutch OK prior to that? This is your second gearbox? What happened to your first one?

You ask in this thread why your clutch fails?

Like you don't know?

Will Mazda cover this? I very much doubt it.

do you have an exhaust on your car? the car sound way way quieter when the compression goes and you have like 50%less power. Does it stutter like **** when u go over 5 grand? thats what mine was doing so i took it in and new im getting new engine all expenses paid by mazda ; ) ha ha ha

Thanks for jacking up the prices of new 8s and giving honest warranty claims a shifty view. I hope Mazda puts it to you for every cent of any repair needed.

I find it kind of crazy that at nineteen years old you feel the need to do some "burnouts" and to have a dealership replace the parts for your car (under warranty) but when you notice the slightest problem you don't bother to learn enough about how your car works to even begin to look at the problem before dropping it off to have someone else deal with your mistakes. When your car comes out of warranty it would do you well to learn a little bit about the systems in your car, it will save you a lot of money and this is especially true if you plan to "thrash it" some more since labor prices can be quite the pain.

2nd gearbox?!?! I dont want to sound like a dick, but.....it sounds like you either thrash on your tranny (high RPM gear drops), or you just dont know how to drive a manual transmission.

Its possible to do a high rpm gear drop without damaging anything, maybe you meant a clutch drop, misunderstanding?
