Up for sale is my 2004 Mazda RX8 GT. It has been finished in Titanium Grey paint with black leather interior. Being the GT model, it has all of the available options (GPS Navigation, heated seats, Bose sound system, etc. I have owned the car for 6 years and has only been summer driven or garaged. Car was originally sold in Texas. It is modified with the intention of a perfectly balanced street car with reliability being an absolute must. All modifications have been performed by myself with no time/cost spared.
EXTERIOR

All exterior emblems “shaved” along with the corner lights and 3rd brake light

Nice car! Mine's built to a pretty similar spec / goal with slightly higher mileage so curious to see how this sale goes.
Here's my 8 for posterity : https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...member-272420/

Fine example of s1 and looks to have been kept in very nice condition. Sorry you have to sell.
The unfortunate truth is that a 'part-out' will be the only way to partially recoup money from your investments. If you still have the oem parts, I'd recommend going through the process of returning the vehicle to stock form and then selling the vehicle and aftermarket parts separately for what you can. That's what I did with my s1 some years ago. A GT with basic mods won't be the first choice for many enthusiasts and the value of any Rx8 is minimal.
Personally, if it were me I'd just reduce the asking price by 50% and see what happens.

@tgaffner - thank you for the time and going back and forth with me. This is a beautiful car and someone is going to get a very well setup and reliable ride with a ton of life left. Best of luck with the sale -

Oh I saw that! Nice listing too I might add. Very curious to see what the final 'bid' will fetch.
Interesting you've only owned the vehicle for 5 years. Did you do the majority of mods? If so, it really would be in your best interest to remove parts and recoup some profit. Did you delete the A/C? Intentionally? Any particular reason? Hopefully not 'because racecar' like 99% of rx8 owners these days but I suppose that could actually be a selling point today. I will say that the EPS and sunroof are worth addressing imo but doubtful they will add a great deal of value. Certainly make it more appealing to potential and/or hesitant buyers. Although I do think anyone considering your vehicle will find those details minor and are looking for something to 'tinker' on / with.
I'm rooting for you, GLWS!
