Should you be willing to part ways with the CF hood, I would be very interested... and could also provide you with a complete stock shock/spring assembly for front and rear to provide to the future buyer. I'm just a bit south of you in Bakersfield and would be willing to drive to you. I can also compression test your 8 with a rotary compression tester so you have numbers available to provide buyers and have posted in your listing

This is a pretty good deal if the buyer takes all precautions before starting that motor after it sitting for so long.

If you weren't half way across the states I'd be pretty willing to check it out. GLWS!

How recent are the last few pictures? And do you have any of the interior? Why did you park it? I'm interested but would like to know if she starts and runs and if she has good compression. Did you ever use pre-mix? I've been out of the RX-8 game for quite a while, but have a lingering desire to own one again.

I can take pics of the interior for you, i'll have them up tomorrow
I parked it because i was diagnosed with RA (arthritis) and a clutch pedal is not a fun thing to use
I used pre mix and even have a Sohn adapter somewhere, never installed on the car
It has been on a battery tender the entire time but for how long i've let her sit i'm not overly keen on spinning her around before she goes to a mechanic for a fluid change

3 months before parking her my mechanic did a compression test, not because i felt anything was wrong but he was doing another car and offered to do mine at a discount
I do not recall the numbers and i'm not going to make something up just to give you a number but he did tell me the engine was "very healthy".

Any potential buyer is welcome to PPI but understand i'm pricing the sale to move the car. i babied her while i used her and at this point it's just depressing to see her sitting in the garage.

I'd rather she get a new life with someone who will drive her.

The mileage was higher then i thought it was, is at 70k not 62k
I've taken pictures showing the interior and trunk. The three remaining OEM wheels i have are in the boxes. Original shift lever boot is in the trunk.
The original hood will also be included if someone purchases the car.

Maybe I misread, but you’re not going to even try to crank it up and start it?

dang Laythor, sorry to see you selling this car.
was always great seeing you bring it to the Dyno days (those seem like forever ago now)

Whoever buys this is going to end up with an excellent car from a great owner who always maintained it, tastefully modified the car, and knew how to take care of it.
