I honestly think its personal preference NACer4lyf and we can't make that final decision.
Do you have people local with different exhaust combinations to compare?
That would be the best way to decided on an exhaust. Be able to hear it outside and from within the car.

well...after doing some light homework

Stryker from fluidmotorsports stated that he see's no point in buying the s1 over the r1. A couple of reasons were thrown around but one that stuck out was the fact that the s1 was modeled after the AP exhaust. So basically, it's the same exhaust...just two different companies...it's a matter of preference between the two companies then...who would you rather give your money to...Agency or Exoticspeed?

on another note - the r1 sounds a little more tempting because for 1. it's lighter...and 2. the dimensions seem to be less restricting than the s1. Fluid also mentioned if you buy the mid pipe and the exhaust he'll give you $100 off.

I'm not sure how much you wanna blow on an exhaust. But right now it's looking like this. The s1 and the AP are identical. Price for the AP is 750 w/out shipping. Price for the s1 is 500 w/out shipping however doesn't include a midpipe. If you were to buy the mid pipe, the total will be the exact same as the AP (750) however the difference will be shipping, due to the fact it'll be two boxes being shipped instead of 1. Between the s1 and the r1 has been stated but in regards to sound, the s1 was said to be more quiet than the r1. The s1 was also noted as a streetable exhaust where as the r1 is more for race. All three exhausts are loud though.

Right now, bottom line IMO

AP: comes w/a midpipe - 750
R1: lighter, better flow and unique piping - 650
S1: more quiet, no mid pipe, but the cheapest. - 500

It finally got here yesterday. i installed it but i havent taken it off the jacks yet because there is still some small things i have to do with it. one thing for sure though is that one tip is sitting on the shroud and the other tip is about an inch and a half gap from the shroud what should i do to fix that? i have some pics but not of both tips together just the one with the better look lol and plus the right side was missing the shroud.

i love the look of the ti tip

and here is a pic of what fedex did to my pipe i was pissed but owell

ill put some more pictures of it on later tonight when it is finished and take some videos of it too

im very impressed with the sound it has. for being my first mod to my car it went pretty smooth and im deff. satisfied with the sound quality from the exhaust its perfect!

Congrats on the buy!

Take a look around the forum for others that might've had a fix on the fitment issue. Could be a gasket issue?

def post more pic's and vid's when you get a chance!

Just so I don't start a new thread about exhaust advice, I'll just post a question here:

I'm pretty set on the GReddy SE (I like the look and the sound), but I'm worried about being easily noticed by cops (is the sound loud, can't exactly tell from the videos)? Also, my car is N/A, and I will be using original CAT.

I guess what I'm asking is: is this street legal?

Thanks!

yeah that is legal. sound wise its just good luck on whether or not you get pulled over. i have had my exoticspeed s1-t catback on for about two weeks and so far so good. but i dont have to worry about keeping the cat stock because here in sc we dont have emission checks lol at least thats what alot of people said

but yeah dude i was this close to buying the greddy se until i found a sweet deal at fluidmotorsports.com for the exoticspeed and plus it comes with titaniam tips 4 inch wide.

dont think im bashing the greddy because they are awesome and i would have bought it but the es was cheaper but other than that bro go for it!!!

yeah i think i fixed it lol i used a cut off broom handle and a car jack. i jacked the broom handle up on the pipe between the tip of exhaust and muffler and it seemed to work perfect i basically re-aligned the two tips and i just got back from driving 3 hours and not melting or anything

i finially took some videos.

this one is driving down the road with the windows up.

sorry about the little blurry bubbles the sun was shinny like crazy

and here is one with the windows down...i dont think it does the exhaust justice tho. i guess its too much wind or its such a beast its hard to record something of such beauty lol jk jk

and here is just the car at idle...have some rattling issues with the mufflers and heat shield...but its not as bad as it sounds...oh and i got the windows tinted
