Question Tial V44 or Synapse Synchronic 50mm Wastegate

So the question is: which one should I choose? I'm leaning toward the Tial V44 but the Synchronic is very tempting with many pluses. I'm planning to run low boost in the range of < 5psi daily but might increase for tracking. Does any one have experience with the Synchronic wastegate on their 8? I have about 1-2 weeks to finalize my plan and it is for my custom homemade low budget front mount turbo.

Or should I just use the 38mm Tial that I had laying around with a lower pressure spring and call it a day?

ps: Anyway to edit the poll end date? I thought I entered 4-20-2009 not 4-13-2009

We have used both the Synapse 50mm and Tial 44mm on many RX-7 projects. Both are nice wastegates but I prefer the Synapse over the Tial. Either of them will work fine.

Thanks, look like Synapse will be the answer but I won't be buying it anytime soon due to cut back in budget since my welding machine just give up on me. The repair/replacement bill will be in the hundreds, so I have to factor that into my current budget

You can say that again.

I was designing the new engine mount to allow easier exhaust & larger wastegate pipe routing when the welder went out. I guess the project will get a week or two of delay. Hopefully by then, I will have enough $$ saved to get the Synapse 50mm wastegate on top of a new welder like the Miller diversion 165 AC/DC TIG. Hopefully this one will last many years unlike those ebay knock off

I do really like the synapse just couldn't decide by myself and want some reassurance

Thanks guy,
