Tein S tech full drop time
The front drops almost immediately and the rear will take about a 100 miles or so. Also, don't get an alignment for a couple hundred miles so that when you do they are properly settled and won't mess up the alignment further down the road. And Post some PICS!!!

pre load the springs? i dont know to be honest my fried dinstalled them?

Your ride height didn't lower because the shop most likely did not pre-load the springs. Turn your wheel completely to one direction. Get in there and loosen the two upper control arm bolts. (very easy to do, no need to go back to the shop) I think it's a 17 mm???
Loosen then 80% of the way, let sit for 30 minutes, retighten and BINGO, your car will lower slightly and the springs will settle within a few days / week depending on how much you drive.

Do you guys recommend chaning the shocks when you do this? If so, then what shock. My car has 48k and I think it is time to replace the shocks. Might as well lower it as well.

You don't have to loosen the control arm bolts, but the front will drop immediately if you do so it is highly suggested. If you do it then there will be no need to let it settle as it is already dropped the full amount. If you don't do it, the front will eventually settle to the correct height, but why wait if you can have it at the full drop right after the install. The rear will take a little time to settle but it won't be much maybe an 1/8 inch or so.

yeah, i'm not saying that it isn't going to drop, just that it will still have to settle which you even say in your post took about 4-5 days. I'm impatient, and I like instant results so I tightened the bolts on the ground and it was dropped from day 1, no need to wait for it to settle (in the front at least).
Also, the drop you noticed at first was because the springs are shorter than stock. The drop you have now is because the control arms are now used to their new position and have shifted. The shift is basically what the "pre-loading" does. It tightens them in the new position, instead of waiting for them to shift into the new position while tightened. Anyways, I'm off to get drunk, Happy Holidays!!
