Wow, talk about ultimate play toy! FYI if you don't know me, I work at an airport so it was nothing out of the ordinary to hear a jet engine, except when it comes from a motorcycle! I was able to take some pics and got a chance to talk to the guy and he gave me some info:
Frame/chassis: Custom
Engine: Turbine jet engine out of a Marchetti 260 Turboprop (Seen here in piston prop form)
Transmission: 2 speed tranny out of a Toyota Camry. (I'm gueesing 2nd & 5th gears?)
Top Speed: Quote: "The guy who made it promises over 250 mph." I don't really doubt him either cause I've seen Jay Leno's jet bike do the same kind of numbers

This the Y2K jet bike built by MTT (Marine Turbine Technologies). The bike is powered by a reconditioned Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine out of a helicopter. This one is cool because it is "naked" and has a bad *** airbrush job. These bikes go for $150,000 and up. Jay Leno was one of the only Americans I have ever heard to own one of these. Pretty cool!

 

Yeah who woulda thought some coon-asses would be nuts enough to put a turbine engine on a bike. Gotta love La.
